This year we are excited to have Professor Glenn Dryer from Connecticut College coming to speak on the Notable Tree Project Initiative in Woodbridge. We looking forward to seeing you and learning more about our wonderful historic trees.

CT League of History Organizations On Line Auction

The Amity and Woodbridge Historical Society is a proud supporter of the important work done by the Connecticut League of History Organizations. To help counter the impact from dwindling levels of state support, CLHO is hosting “An online Auction of Historic Proportions” beginning
November 1 and running through November 15. This is a great opportunity to find unique items and experiences (all donated by historical museums and the individuals who love them) and support the important work done by Connecticut’s heritage organizations. Join Us For Tavern Night

The Board Members of the AWHS turn the Historic Thomas Darling House into an 18th Century Tavern, complete with food, drinks, live music and good people! Your donation ($60 for nonmembers, $45 for members of the historical society) gets you a seat, and an all you can eat of period food and drinks, including appetizers, soups, a main dish, seasonal vegetables (cooked on our open hearth) and fabulous desserts. Tavern Night ~ Spring 2016

The Amity and Woodbridge Historical Society is planning their spring Tavern Night for June 12, 5 to 8 PM at the Historic Thomas Darling House. Guests can enjoy the atmosphere, live music, food and drink as the members of the Amity and Woodbridge Historical Society turn the Darling House into an old fashion tavern. Prices are $45 for members and $60 for non members of the historical society. The event is by reservation only and can be made at info@woodbridgehistory.org

Dr. Cosimo Sgarlata, an archaeology professor at Western Connecticut State University will be giving a presentation based on his research of the West Rock Ridge right here in Woodbridge, and how archaeological studies of the ridge can fill in important details about the ways of life of ancient people living in south central Connecticut. Refreshments will be served.
